On June 14, 2025, an estimated 75,000 people flooded Chicago's Loop as part of a nationwide day of resistance against President Tr*mp. Dubbed “No Kings," the day of protests highlighted Americans’ resistance to the Tr*mp administration, particularly around ICE and inhumane deportation efforts, the illegal use of military force in Los Angeles and against U.S. citizens, and the military parade simultaneously being held in Washington, D.C., which many viewed as a show of dominance and a grossly expensive and inappropriate celebration of the President's birthday. Chicagoans gathered peacefully in Daley Plaza and marched towards Tr*mp Tower, continuing down Michigan Avenue. It was one of roughly 2,000 protests across the country that day.
