The May 2012 NATO summit held in Chicago, IL was the first time that the summit was held in the U.S. outside of Washington, D.C.
President Obama and the 27 leaders of the other Allied nations met for the 2-day summit, drawing protesters from around the world. Protestors had a wide range of agendas and included anti-war activists, demonstrators from the Occupy movement, and people concerned about inaction on climate change and the handling of the global economy.
